About Us

At Walks4all, we are passionate about the great outdoors, particularly the great British outdoors. With stunning scenery and places of historical and cultural interest on our doorstep, why would you want to go walking and hiking anywhere else?

We also believe walking is one of the simplest ways to improve how you feel day to day. Alongside our route guides, we're building a growing library of wellness content on the health benefits of walking - fitness, weight management, heart health, mood, sleep, mobility and longevity - with practical tips you can actually use.

Our website provides full, detailed route directions for a wide variety of walks, from gentle strolls to demanding hikes. Each walk includes a video covering the entire route, detailed walk information, including parking places, Ordnance Survey mapping of the area, and a GPX file for you to download to your navigation app. There is also a route description, along with numerous photographs of the walk and its viewpoints. All this is available without charge or subscription - just select your walk from our interactive map and enjoy all that the countryside has to offer.

Our walks are written by Andrew Forrest, an author with many walks and articles published in books, magazines, newspapers and on websites. If not writing, you'll generally find him out on a hill, or having that post-walk beer.

In addition to our walks, we have a blog covering walking and hiking gear, clothing, safety - and increasingly, wellbeing - so you can get more from every mile.
